Job Purpose:

Builds business by identifying and selling prospects; maintaining relationships with clients.

The position's essential duties and responsibilities:

Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options.

Sells services by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; recommending solutions.

Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities.

• Identifies improvements or new services by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors; maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

Responds to customer requests for quotes; negotiates, plans and receives final approval within a specified time frame.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

BS/BA in any major, but preferably in Engineering, Science, or another technical discipline.

Job Purpose:

• Builds business by identifying and selling prospects; maintaining relationships with clients.

The position's essential duties and responsibilities are listed below, and include, but are not limited to:

• Research and analyze sales options, in order to positively position our services.

• Discover new business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry.

• Work internally to develop opportunities.

• Contact potential customers; forge mutually beneficial relationships.

• Regularly travel to visit with clients and meet prospects.

• Participate in trade shows/industry meetings, both inside and outside of normal business hours.

• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets by actively closing business.

• Prepare detailed and professional proposals based on customer specifications/requirements.

• Facilitate quick delivery of proposals that adequately reflect the needs of the customer.

• Serve as central point of contact for the customer.

Essential Duties for Test Technician:

Responsible for product testing.

Understands and is familiar with electrical circuits, soldering, making mechanical connections and electrical/electronic troubleshooting.

Able to understand test methods, test setups, procedures and test plans

Capable of operating electronic test equipment.


Knowledge of test instrumentation operation

Good communications and interpersonal skills

Good computer skills

2 year technical degree minimum (AA, AS, EET, etc.)

Job Title:

Safety Test Engineer

Responsibility and Limitation:

• To be able to perform tests under projects against ISO17025. Make measurements and determine performance against specifications and limits. Be familiar with test instruments, test methods, test procedures and test standards. Understand the purpose of each test and be able to assess of test results. Write test reports with good quality. To stay updated with current and forthcoming construction and testing requirements

• Must possess good verbal and written communication skills, being able to both interface well with internal and external customers.

• Responsible to provide project testing status to BACL's project team and the customer

• Meet project schedules and deadlines.

• Assists and reports to the Dept. Manager to ensure product compliance with national and international safety and Energy Efficiency Lighting Products (EELP) regulatory standards and requirements.

• Assists and reports to the Dept. Manager to provide technical support to Sales and other departments in BACL

• Understands and follows the BACL Quality System, procedures and work instructions

• May participate in reviewing the work of other staff.

Education and Experience:

• BS, typically 3 years safety experience.

Technical Knowledge:

• Work experience in safety engineering or related fields,

• Knowledge of safety regulatory standards and test methods

• Applicants with prior product safety experience with Medical, Telecom and Lighting, Testing and Measurement and ITE products have better chance of success.

Training needed:

• ISO/IEC 17025 Requirement

• ISO 17065 Requirement

Essential Duties for Test Engineer:

Perform testing to various standards such as FCC, IC, ETSI, IEC, NCC, etc.

Knowledge of RF and microwave circuits, impendence matching, interconnections, etc.

Hands-on experience with measurement instrumentation such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, cellular call boxes (Rohde & Schwartz CMW 500, Agilent E5515C (8960), etc.)

In-house verification and calibration of RF preamps, filters, cables, etc.

Laboratory general maintenance

Possesses thorough understanding of electrical circuits and can read schematics

Capable of soldering and making mechanical connections

Maintains high level of accuracy when recording data, and preparing test reports.

Provides technical support to BACL's other departments.

Support customer's technical and operational s/w needs

Ability to work under pressure and complete projects on time


Master of Science in Electrical Engineering Degree (MSEE) strongly preferred.

Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Engineering Technology or related majors with a minimum of one year hands-on testing experience.

Excellent communication skills and fluent command of English to positively enhance interaction with clients.

Highly organized and detailed oriented.

Responsibility and Limitation:

Compilation, editing and processing of reports from raw test data.

Compilation, editing and processing of report templates from standards.

Gain an understanding of the ISO 17025 Test Report requirements and priorities.

Learn and improve the level of technical and grammatical competency of the department.

Review and process certification applications per ISO 17065 standard.

Gain an understanding of compilation, editing, processing and filing methods, and how they comply with national and international agency/regulatory requirements.

Gain knowledge of the standards and test reports relating to EMC, RF, RED, EU Type Notification, Telecom and SAR engineering.

Continuously strengthen skills that are required for performing document related tasks.

Maintain the BACL document room.

Understands and follows the BACL Quality System.

Education and Experience:

BA or BS or equivalent practical experience

Has a good command of the English language

Intermediate to Advanced Level experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Has great communication and interpersonal skills
