ANATEL Introduces Resolution 772, Replacing Resolution 759
On January 22, ANATEL issued Resolution 772, which officially replaces the previous Resolution 759. The new regulation took effect on February 3, 2025.
Resolution 772 outlines the assignment, allocation, and distribution of frequency bands in Brazil, defining their applications and intended services, similar to FCC 2.106.
This update brings modifications to the allocation and use of certain frequency bands, along with adjustments to some bands under “Radio Frequency Bands Usable for Restricted Radiation Equipment with Alternative Emission Limits”, as specified in the technical table of Resolution 680. However, these changes primarily affect lesser-used frequency bands and do not alter testing technical requirements. As a result, WWAN, WLAN, Bluetooth, Zigbee, LoRa, and many other technologies remain unaffected.
